Yes of course! A cook find that baking meatballs is just easier with less cooking required, but pan frying these meatballs would taste notable! All you will need is about a tablespoon or two of olive oil to coat the pan then add the meatballs, cooking them on a lively burner, and turn them continuously so that they get browned on all sides and are cooked through, for about 12 minutes

What goes in

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce, divided
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup almond flour, or bread crumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Garnish with green onions and blue cheese crumbles, if desired

How it comes together

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, egg, almond flour (or breadcrumbs), 3 tablespoons buffalo sauce, garlic, green onions, onion powder, salt and pepper. Mix the meatball mixture together using a spoon or your hands until all combined.
  3. Using a small cookie scoop (A cook used this small cookie scoop), roll the meatballs into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (or sprayed with non-stick spray). A cook find that getting your hands a little wet helps to roll these meatballs as ground chicken can be a bit sticky. You should get about 28 meatballs or feel free to use this cookie scoop for 18 larger meatballs.
  4. Bake the meatballs for about 18 to 20 minutes, until lightly browned and cooked through. Meatballs should have an internal temp of 165 degrees F when inserting a meat thermometer.
  5. Remove the meatballs from the oven and toss with the remaining buffalo sauce, top with some green onions and serve with your favorite dipping sauce and sliced veggies.
