Signature Brands Launch Event with Tiffani Thiessen in Los Angeles

I recently had the opportunity to attend the Signature Brands launch event hosted by Safeway in Los Angeles, and I jumped at the chance. I spent the day with 25 talented bloggers, sampling a wide array of Signature products and cooking alongside Tiffani Thiessen. It was a lively, delicious, and inspiring experience from start to finish.
Signature Brands, launched by Albertsons Companies, offers more than 4,000 items across pantry staples and fresh foods—soups, baked goods, coffee, juice, pastas, meats, produce, household essentials, and more. The family of brands includes Signature Select, Signature Kitchens, Signature Farms, Signature Cafe, Signature Home, and Signature Care. These products are positioned as high-quality, budget-friendly options with a satisfaction guarantee, available at Safeway and other Albertsons family stores nationwide.
The event took place at a stunning private estate in the Hollywood Hills, filled with fresh flowers, lemon trees, and lush greenery. We started outdoors with an avocado toast bar and fresh orange juice and coffee from the Signature Select line. I was especially impressed by the variety of sugar-free creamers—hazelnut, caramel, and vanilla among them—which added a special touch to the morning coffee.

The house felt like a magazine shoot—every room filled with beautiful light and thoughtful design. It’s no surprise the owner works in photography; the space reflected a refined eye for detail.
After breakfast and mingling, Executive Chef Jeff Anderson from Albertsons Companies Culinary Kitchens led a hands-on cooking demonstration. Chef Jeff’s enthusiasm for food is contagious; within minutes he had everyone excited about the Signature Cafe soups. We tasted tomato basil bisque, white bean and kale, chunky chicken noodle, and my favorite, cauliflower and cheddar. I left inspired to use these soups beyond bowls—think cauliflower cheddar as a velvety pasta sauce or a creamy topping for baked potatoes.

Chef Jeff also demonstrated a versatile Signature Chicken Marinade that can easily be adapted using different jams or mustards, and it pairs well with fish too. Below is his recipe:
Chef Jeff’s Signature Chicken Marinade
- 1 cup Signature Kitchens orange marmalade
- 1–3 tbsp Sriracha sauce (to taste)
- 1/2 cup Signature Kitchens soy sauce
- 1 cup Signature Farms 100% orange juice
- 2 tbsp Signature Kitchens Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
Whisk all ingredients together and use immediately or refrigerate for later.
Next, we moved into the kitchen to make flatbread pizzas with fresh dough and Signature ingredients. Rolling and grilling dough with a room full of food bloggers was a blast—the aromas were irresistible. Toppings included tomato-basil pasta sauce, creamy alfredo, pesto, a variety of grated cheeses, roasted butternut squash, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted peppers, bacon, and fresh arugula. The collective creativity turned out beautiful flatbreads.

We ate lunch outdoors at a gorgeous tablescape decorated with succulents and fresh blooms. Chef Jeff shared three salads featuring Signature ingredients—fruit, prosciutto, mozzarella, and a spinach and tomato pasta salad—so we certainly didn’t go hungry.

Later, Tiffani Thiessen joined us. She spoke about her Cooking Channel show, family life, and her first cookbook in development. She shared candid, relatable stories—like the fact she owns six rescue chickens and that her favorite family recipe is her mother’s cream cheese pie. We also learned that the food used on Saved by the Bell’s set was less than impressive, a fun behind-the-scenes tidbit that made everyone laugh.

Tiffani demonstrated dessert techniques, including an easy method for perfect ice cream sandwiches: slice a pint into one-inch sections and place the slices between cookies for uniformly sized portions. We dipped some sandwiches in chopped nuts and tried a variety of Signature ice cream flavors—vanilla, butter pecan, caramel, java chip, and chocolate varieties—paired with exceptionally soft Signature chocolate chip cookies.

She also made ice cream coffee floats, a grown-up twist on a classic treat, and finished the afternoon with her peach-infused sweet tea—a refreshing end to an already delightful day.

Tiffani was warm and approachable, swapping heels for flip-flops and taking time for photos and conversation. By the end of the day she felt like a friend who shares a passion for good food and family-centered cooking.

This event underscored how Signature Brands can help families prepare quick, affordable, and delicious meals without sacrificing quality—perfect for busy weeknights or entertaining on a budget. Using simple, ready-made items alongside fresh ingredients makes it easy to elevate everyday cooking.

I’m grateful to Albertsons and Safeway for inviting me to this inspiring event. It was a memorable day full of great food, new friends, practical cooking ideas, and a reminder that quality ingredients can be both affordable and versatile.
