I’m thrilled to finally share my daughter Emma’s nursery. I’ve wanted to reveal this room for months, and I’m so happy I could take photos and get everything organized to show you the finished space.

When I learned I was having a girl, I immediately pictured a soft, feminine room she could grow into. Designing a floral nursery became a true labor of love—one I enjoyed every step of. My inspiration came from Monika Hibbs and her timeless, romantic interiors, and I’ve long wanted to use a similar floral wallpaper for the focal wall.
Functionality was just as important as style. I chose larger furniture pieces from Pottery Barn Kids for longevity and classic lines, then layered in smaller accents to add warmth and personality. Below I share practical organization tips and the specific pieces that helped make this room both beautiful and easy to maintain.

A custom “Emma” sign sits above the dresser; it was a surprise gift from my girlfriends at the baby shower. They painted the sign gold and everyone signed the back as a keepsake—one of my favorite sentimental touches in the room.

Organization was essential when planning the nursery. I used Skubb drawer organizers in the dresser so everything has a proper place: top drawers hold diapers, wipes, creams, and medicines for quick access; the middle drawers store burp cloths, bibs, washcloths, short-sleeved onesies, leggings, socks, and pacifier clips; the deep bottom drawers contain extra blankets, crib sheets, and hooded towels. Having this system makes daily routines much smoother.

I wanted the closet to be as functional and future-proof as the room. The original closet was a single wire shelf, so I researched closet systems and chose a professional design that gave me hanging space, shelves for bins, and drawers for accessories and diapers. I had a fantastic experience with the company I selected and was able to take advantage of a large sale, which made the project affordable. Their custom layout turned the closet into a well-organized extension of the nursery.
If you’re planning a closet redesign, I’m happy to share what I learned—feel free to email me for details. My only regret is that Emma’s closet turned out nicer than mine, so I’m already dreaming about updating my space next.

Wallpaper installation made me nervous since it was my first time, but the floral pattern was worth the risk. My father-in-law came up two weekends in a row to help install it, and the result is even prettier in person. The wallpaper instantly sets the tone and will be a lovely backdrop for years to come.
I’ve linked every source and item used in the room below for easy reference—if you have questions about any specific pieces or how I arranged things, leave a comment or send an email and I’ll reply with details.
